The girls thought it was pretty hilarious that Clementine was using this parasaurolophus as a pillow.

A beading frenzy has begun in this house!

New shoes and some back-to-school clothes came in these fun boxes.
Craig came back last night (a day early: yay!). After multiple attempts with the front desk at the public school, Anna's teacher finally called me today to set up a time for us to go check out her classroom (Tuesday). The teacher had a child with SM in her class three years ago so she is familiar with Anna's situation which will really help, I think!

Skype with daddy and painting.
Craig went to Amsterdam yesterday so we talked to him on Skype for a bit. Thankfully he won't be gone too long! The girls got their backpacks in the mail and were so excited about it they put all of the school supplies for Anna's class in their backpacks. I think Anna was relieved when I told her that she wouldn't have to carry a ream of paper with her to school every day and that I'd bring it in myself on meet-the-teacher night. (We still don't know who her teacher is and I'm starting to get frustrated since school is only two weeks away!)

The movers arrive (Henry is napping so the kids & I wait until he wakes up to get out of the way.)

The hospital where Henry was born. (I needed this photo before we leave so I made sure to get it today while the skies are sunny even though it was raining the day he was born.)

A playground we haven't been to for a long time was the perfect choice for our morning entertainment.
![]()
Henry was happy to get out in the fresh air, too.

Our afternoon entertainment was the D-Cube indoor play area (it started to rain around lunch time).

Sarah was a little too scared to do it.
![]()
She would always get about this far before letting go and then hopping the rest of the way off the mat.
![]()
Henry hung out here for a bit.
![]()
And then I let him stretch out here. One little girl was fascinated with him and I had a very hard time getting her to stop touching him.

Sarah on the slide and Anna on the zip-line.

They are finally almost done packing and have started loading the truck.

Clementine napping on the cushion-less couch (Sarah is using it as her mattress until we leave). The cats are pretty confused at what happened today but they had some good training for their carriers since we kept them in there all day while the movers were here.

Everyone is finally feeling better (still some coughing but no fevers) so we had to get out of the house today for some fresh air and a walk through town. **Note the ride Sarah is on has a "police officer" with his gun drawn.**
![]()
Too bad Craig & Henry were not also on the couch. Now that would have been a picture!
![]()
The cats have started hanging out with us more during the day. Chopstick really likes to be right next to me; I wonder if he can sense that I'm pregnant?

Playing "Jertain" together (from Dr. Seuss' There's a Wocket in My Pocket)
Sadly we did nothing today to celebrate the Lunar New Year. I saw a couple of craft ideas to do but with zero energy and moving upstairs next week I decided to just forget it. The kids don't care. I did buy a stuffed ox for Baby3 though (it is the year of the ox). Craig gets back from his trip tonight thank goodness! And he gets the next two days off for the holiday. I see naps in my future!

That's Clementine's collar securely fastened to the tree to the left of the pinecone.
Maybe I'll try for a better shot later on, but you can see our tree is seriously leaning and the cats have been attacking it at night so the top half and the bottom half are separated (all of the bottom branches have been bent downward and are clumped together). Sarah is officially more mature than two young cats.
I took Clementine & Chopstick in to Dog Plus (the vet at Home Plus) on Monday to ensure we do not have a litter of kittens of our very own. I picked Chopstick up on Tuesday and Clementine tonight. We're supposed to leave the Elizabethan collars on them until Saturday when I bring them back to get their stitches removed (and then they are to wear them two more days).
Two:
Today was the second morning (Thursday was the first) that Sarah woke up with a dry diaper! Anna woke up dry consistently after 18-19 months so I'm hoping this is the beginning of that trend for Sarah, too.
Million:
The cats were staring at the wall this morning and as I woke up I realized they probably weren't staring at the wall. Memories of Gertie staring at roaches on the wall in Houston woke me up pretty fast. You should have seen Craig leap out of bed when I screamed for him to wake up as a five to six-inch millipede was climbing down the air conditioner right over his head. It was hard to kill but we did it (we had to take apart the entire bed to catch it). Thanks to Clementine & Chopstick for scouting that out for us.

We've been playing a lot of dress-up lately.
![]()
Dr. Lee/Clementine is really pretty social which is so different from my last cat experience (Gertie).
![]()
I love how cats eyes look when they're sleeping.
![]()
Chopstick. He's definitely bigger than Clementine but identification has gotten a million times easier since I put their pink and blue collars on them!

Sarah is constantly asking to read now!
![]()
The girls were in the office with all three cats for a while.

Playing "naptime." Of course Sarah can't lie still for this activity for very long.
We're having fun getting back into our routines now that we're over jet lag and settled back into our apartment. The girls seem to be playing together better (read: Sarah is learning how to play and not only create a path of destruction everywhere she goes).

Dr. Lee/Clementine sometimes joins the kids in activities like reading or playing cars, etc. I really like that she isn't scared of them (especially Sarah). Chopstick is still a little reserved but not as much as when we first brought him in. ... Note there is a little flip a the end of Sarah's hair in the back. This is new and I wonder if it will stay/is a sign of things to come. So far her hair has been absolutely straight.
![]()
I like to try to sneak some barrettes in Sarah's hair occasionally. If she knows they're in there she feels compelled to take them out.
I will try to get more kid-shots this week, I promise.
I decided to try taking Dr. Lee and Chopstick to the vet at Home Plus today after chatting with the vet there yesterday when I picked up their cat food for the next month while they are being cared for by others. This vet actually checked them out, cleaned their ears and eyes, trimmed their nails, and gave them their vaccinations. I was really happy with her but the visit took much too long with the kids! I felt bad making them wait around knowing that tomorrow we'll be traveling all day long.

That's Chopstick in the back with his eyes opened just a little. He's still a little suspicious of my motives when I approach with the camera.
These kittens are just too cute together. We did some furniture re-arranging in the house (I'll take pictures when everything is set) and the kittens love to sit on the "new" chair and take naps on this basket (filled with blankets).
Through a friend at Playschool, two random French women that I have never met will take care of Dr. Lee & Chopstick during the time that Craig is on his business trip and with us while we're in the US. I'm glad to have that settled although sometimes I'm not sure if my cat allergies are going to prevent us from keeping the kittens in the end. I will have to re-evaluate after we get back from the US.

Chopstick is on the left, Dr. Lee is on the right.
Anna and I decided to lengthen Suhyup's name to be "Chopstick Suhyup" and we're calling him Chopstick instead of Suhyup. I prefer Clementine but we still call the girl cat Dr. Lee. They are both coming out to play during the day (even when both girls are up) and they have both come to sit with me and Craig on the couch at night after the girls go to bed. Dr. Lee is more interested in human companionship at this point though. Chopstick must still have to work through some issues on that front.
We think Dr. Lee is a girl and Suhyup is a boy so I'm adjusting Dr. Lee's name to "Dr. Clementine Lee" because I keep getting confused by the gender neutrality of their names. Anna won't budge on Suhyup's name so I guess he's going to stay that although it's really like naming your cat "King Soopers" or "Safeway." I told Amelie their names yesterday and I think she has confirmed in her mind that we are insane.
